Cat 41: Thank You

Of course this is my final blog as the Cat In The Hat 2 contest has ended. I wanted to say congratulations to Cat #32, Colin Finlay, and a big thank you to FM 96 for the opportunity to be in such a great contest!

I had a great last day as a Cat, my wife baked a trifle that looked like a kitty litter box and used tootsie rolls as the poo. I admit it, I did eat the poo.  When I sat down at my desk, there was a bowl of cream waiting for me (thanks, Anne!).  My co-worker, Danielle, brought blue raspberry Sour Puss to work and everyone did a shot before the wrap up party.  Also a big thank you to everyone who came to the wrap up party to support me

Lastly, I went out and purchased a shadow box for my cat hat and other kitty memorabilia to preserve the great memories I had during the contest. I thought it would be a nice keepsake.

Cat# 27 The End Is Near!

Well actually the end is this afternoon.

I have to say the time wearing this hat went by pretty quickly however on April 8th I was sure I was not going to make it to the end. But here I am still in it and will hopefully win $10,000 this afternoon.

I had a lot of fun wearing this hat and enjoyed all the attention. I am however, looking forward to seeing my hair more regularly and getting a hair cut!

I will be at the party this afternoon at Jim Bob’s and I hope to see everyone there.  Thanks FM96 for this great adventure.

Cat #33–Final Day!

So, I have reached the final day of wearing the hat, it went so much more faster than I thought it would. I went into this with hopes of having tons of fun and even if I don’t win the big one, I am going out much richer than I went into it. It has been a great learning experience about myself and it’s been a TON of fun! Reflecting back over the past 54 days it’s amazing  the amount of things that can happen/change in that amount of time.  I am definitely going to miss meeting new people all the time and wearing the hat, but now the nice weather is upon us I am sure it won’t take to long to get used to it not being on my head anymore. I defintely would do it all again–maybe someday they will do an ALL STAR one and I will get picked to wear the hat for another 54 days!

I have to send out a thanks to all my friends, family, aquaintences and co-workers for being so supportiveand patient through this whole thing.  Those who read my daily “book” on facebook and sent me many words of encouragement and all the honks and good lucks I received from complete strangers!

I also want to thank FM96, Tucker, Taz, Kelley, Blain, Dunner and Jim for chosing me to be part of this contest — you all RAWK!!

Cat #38 – And so it is writen and so it shall be!!

So it all comes down to this afternoon.  I have been given tips on how to assist in the big win today.  You know, put weights on the tag so that goes right to the bottom, someone else told me they had magnetic tape we could put on the tag.  Anyhow I think I will plan for the worse and hope for the best!  I am planning on going and having a good time and if I get a $20 gift certificate or $10,000 I will be happy to have the chance!  (Obviously I would rather have the $10,000)

A BIG THANKS to FM96!!!  They are a class act and are a great bunch to have the opportunity to meet. 

So away we go to London…to go bear hunting!!

Cat#11 The Final Blog

I celebrated my official birthday with family and had an intimate family dinner at home.I feel bad for the cats who didn’t have a birthday with their hat they missed out.I am trying to convince my children to go the final party with me because they maybe the 2 lucky charms #11 needs to win. My husband has refused to be in any of my cat pics I think he secretly hates the hat. It has been one heck of a ride wearing this hat.I hope all the cats have had a memorable experience in the contest.I guess only the luckiest cat will win the ten grand!!!See you all tomorrow and best of luck to all the cats.
