Cat#8-Wednesday

March 31, 2010

Well I haven’t updated in a few days,  not that I have much TO update. Still get a few questions here and there..  had some kids outside the grocery store wanting my hat haha

I haven’t been doing much lately, aside from surfing websites looking for apartments and jobs. Ugh. This is one thing I hate about being an adult. With independence comes responsibility. I’ll take the first but not the second! I’m hoping work picks up soon so I don’t have to double up on work over the summer.

Come visit me at Studio H (www.studio-h.ca) for all your Esthetic needs! Get that skin ready for summer!

I fear my blogs might turn into ranting about how bad London drivers are. Your signals are so OTHER people know you’re turning! PLEASE USE THEM!!

Cat#27 Birthday Plans

March 31, 2010

Hello Everyone!

I can hardly believe that it has almost been a week since I last blogged. Well let’s catch up!

Last Friday I saw a Cat driving down Queen’s Ave during my lunch at 1pm. She honked and waved. On Friday night I went to Silvercity to see How To Train Your Dragon and the Cat that works there was working. I waved a couple of times but she was busy working and all so I didn’t bother her..lol. By the way the movie is uber cute!

On Saturday I was at Bud Gowan on York Street to get my future father-in-law fitted for a Tux. When we arrived there must have been at least 10 other people in there. It was super busy. I was asked about the hat and how things were going. All of them wished me luck. Sunday was a nice relaxing day at home.

Yesterday, was kind of blur. I was super busy at work then came home for the night. This evening I worked out with my trainer, April at the Bodyworx Studio on Richmond Street. One of the other trainers or trainer’s client’s was wondering about my hat so my trainer told them about the contest as I was not so able to form sentences as I was doing “skull crushers” and chest presses for 30 seconds as fast as I could.. Sounds easy but you should try it. While walking to my truck I had to wait to cross the road. As I was waiting a car honked at me and I heard “Smile!” So I turned and had my pic taken by the female driver that was waiting at the red light. I hope she sends it in.Then it was home to shower and off to the Mall for some last-minute Birthday shopping for my future mother-in-law. Her birthday is on Thursday but she is coming to London tomorrow night for supper with Dale (my fiance) and myself. While there I got a lot of stares, not many questions. But a few people asked how much longer I had to wear it or if I was going to win. And now I am back home relaxing. :)

This Sunday is Easter but it also happens to be my Birthday!!! YAY!! I am headed to my parent’s place for supper and to celebrate. However the real celebration is the following weekend. Dale and I are off to Toronto on the 10th to the Science Centre to go see the Harry Potter exhibit, do some shopping, go out for dinner and spend the night. I am so excited for this. I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I wonder what the people of Toronto will think of my hat…wonder if any of them listen to FM96. My bet is I will get twice as many stares, comments and not too many questions. I am sure they will just think I am crazy.

I hope to have lots of pics to post in two weeks. That’s all for now!

Cat #33 Sunshine Day

March 31, 2010

Hey Everyone!

At work, to honor people’s birthday’s the company allows us to have a day(the last Wednesday) every month to celebrate whoever’s birthday it was/is that month by having a breakfast (that the social committee is in charge of).  We call this Sunshine Day–so once a month members from the social committee (which I just recently joined) go shopping the day before and prepare the vegetables, fruit, snacks etc for the breakfast.  Well today as it happens to be, one of the people who was to go shopping was unable to so I volunteered my time.  While I was at No Frills, I was approached by several people asking about the hat etc. While we were checking out I had a lady who was a cat from last time (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name) said hello and wished me well and said some encouraging words to me–thank you for that.  Very shortly after that another lady said hello, said good luck and mentioned her son was a cat and she told me who he was.  We had a bit of a conversation and she was a very nice lady indeed!

Last week I had a pic taken with one of the servers (again sorry but I didn’t get your name) in Mr Sub on Dundas and Saskatoon, the girls were all excited and apparently even after I left, one of the girls from my physio clinic heard the girls talking about it, she said the girl was just tickled pink.

Thank you everyone for the good wishes and support…I am going to have to start asking people’s names!!   Tomorrow is “Sunshine Day” so I hope everyone has a “sunshiny day!” ME-OW

PS.    Does anyone know who is playing the April Fools Knock The Cat Out Of The Hat this week?
